prism-nectar began in 2018 when our founder, after witnessing a family member struggle to navigate the benefits system following a serious illness, recognised a gap between the support available and people's ability to access it.

What started as informal advice to neighbours and community members grew into a structured service. Today, we employ a team of experienced benefits advisors who combine policy knowledge with genuine compassion.

We have seen how life circumstances can change rapidly—job loss, illness, bereavement, or caring responsibilities can suddenly thrust someone into unfamiliar territory. Our role is to be the steady hand that guides people through bureaucratic processes that can otherwise feel impenetrable.
